By using different light lumens to match the natural circadian cycle in nature - we allow our bodies to encourage the production of cortisol in the morning to keep us alert during the day and in turn melatonin in the early evening to help us sleep at night.
By exposing ourselves to bright blue light in the morning - we allow the body to maximise alertness and productivity during the day. However higher levels of lumens (i.e. blue light) in the evening suppresses melatonin production making it more difficult to fall asleep.
By lowering the lumens to a warmer yellow / orange temperature, melatonin production is naturally encouraged and in turn leads to better quality sleep.
